The National Weather Service released an updated coastal flood advisory at 8:13 a.m. on Tuesday in effect until 8 p.m. for Ocean and Burlington counties.

"Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways," can be expected according to the weather service. "The most significant flooding will be along back bays and bayside communities."

"At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible," states the weather service. "A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected.
