An SUV crashed into a home in a senior living community in Manchester on Friday afternoon, injuring a woman inside the residence, authorities said.

The 63-year-old man driving slammed into the side of a home in Silverwoods on Route 37 at about 3:50 p.m., Manchester police said.

A 66-year-old woman lying on a couch inside the home was thrown across her living room, officials said. She was hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The driver and his passenger, a 67-year-old woman, had to be removed from the vehicle. Neither Manchester resident was hurt, police said.

The driver improperly hit the gas while trying to park, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
