ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Here are my five takes on the Buffalo Bills’ 24-14 loss against the Atlanta Falcons Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:
1. This was as ugly as it has been in a long time for the Bills.
Not just the back-to-back losses that dropped them to 4-2 and into second place in the AFC East behind New England. But it’s the way they’ve lost.
Last week against the Patriots, it was sloppiness in the form of three turnovers and 11 accepted penalties. Monday night against the Falcons, it was offensive dysfunction and a defense that continued to struggle badly against the run.
