The controversy over a student's demand to wear a hijab at a private school in Kerala's Ernakulam has been resolved after the girl's parents agreed to adhere to the institution's dress code.

The agreement was reached following a meeting between the student's parents and Congress MP from Ernakulam, Hibi Eden. The parents said their daughter would go to the school from Wednesday.

They agreed that the girl would come to the school without wearing a hijab.
