In July, the most recent month for which Stacker had data , New York had the third-highest export total in the nation at $7.6 billion worth of goods. Only Texas at $37.5 billion and California at $15.9 billion had higher numbers.
As a major exporter, President Donald Trump’s tariffs are a significant concern for New York. Gov. Kathy Hochul has spoken out against them and New York was among a group of 12 states that sued over the tariffs earlier this year .
