A baby and two toddlers were being walked in a pram by a nursery worker when they were struck by a runaway vehicle trailer in Dumfries. ‌

The three children were in the care of an employee when a loose trailer flew off the road and struck the group on the pavement on Monday. ‌

Emergency services were called to the town's Pleasance Avenue at 3.15pm. ‌

An eight-month-old baby and two toddlers, aged 14 months and 18 months, were rushed to hospital following the incident.

An 18-year-old woman, a nursery employee, was also taken to hospital.
