DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Duluth police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning in the city’s downtown area.

Chazz Toney, 35, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound after officers responded to reports of gunfire near West Third Street and Second Avenue West around 12:25 a.m. on Oct. 10.

Police arrived at the scene to discover Toney’s body, marking another violent incident in the area. The Duluth Police Department confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, with authorities working to piece together the circumstances surrounding Toney’s death. Police have not released information about potential suspects or motives in the case.
