NEW DELHI: The family of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sandeep, who died in Rohtak, Haryana, has refused to hand over his body to the police administration and has taken it to their native village Ladhot, news agency ANI reported. In a video recorded before his death, Sandeep expressed support for former Rohtak Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarnia, who was transferred after the recent developments following suicide of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar in the case. In the video, Sandeep said that Bijarnia is an honest police officer.
