An elderly woman was struck by a car and left injured on the side of the road with police appealing for public assistance to track down the driver responsible.
The victim, aged in her 70s, was walking her dog at Innaloo on Tuesday when she was hit shortly before 6.30am at the intersection of Odin Road and King George Street.
St. John WA responded to the vehicle and pedestrian incident, transporting the woman to Royal Perth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her dog was not injured from the crash.
The vehicle, described as blue or purple in colour, did not stop at the scene to render first aid.
