ANTLERS, Okla. —

A 22-year-old woman was killed Saturday and her mother hospitalized after they were struck by a pickup while fighting in a lane of a highway in Oklahoma, the state's highway patrol said.

Just before 10:15 p.m., 46-year-old Heather Linn-Schutt was engaged in an altercation with her daughter, Emma Marie Linn, in the northbound lane of the highway, about 2 miles north of the southeastern city of Antlers, troopers said. Advertisement

During the altercation, a pickup traveling north on the highway struck both women. Linn died at the scene from her injuries. Linn-Schutt was taken to a Plano, Texas, hospital to be treated for “serious injuries to her lower extremities,” the patrol reported.
