KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Kearney Public Schools announced on Monday that all technology systems have been fully restored following a cyber attack, and school will resume as normal on Tuesday.
“We appreciate the patience and teamwork of our staff, students, and families as we worked through this process,” said KPS Superintendent Jason Mundorf. “We’re thankful for everyone’s cooperation and support while our technology operations team worked to ensure everything is back online safely.”
According to KPS, the district’s technology network was compromised by a cybersecurity attack on Friday. The KPS technology team, in coordination with external experts, worked to identify the source of the attack and restore the systems.
