LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - While coaching carousel rumors swirl in Lincoln, Nebraska’s starting quarterback isn’t getting caught up in the guessing game.
“It’s just people stirring stuff up and making things bigger than it is,” Dylan Raiola told reporters Tuesday.
Penn State fired head coach James Franklin on Sunday, setting off a firestorm of speculation linking Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule as a natural candidate for the job at his alma mater.
Raiola responded by posting a picture of himself and Rhule embracing on his Instagram story.
“I just had to make sure that everybody knew that that’s our head ball coach and he ain’t going nowhere,” the sophomore captain said. “He’s staying, staying right here.”
Offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen is no stranger to what Rhule is dealing with. Th
