A man was injured after the vehicle he was driving left the road in Corner Brook on the weekend, struck a parked vehicle and collided with a home.

The incident occurred around 3:30 Sunday morning near the intersection of Montgomerie and Central streets in the west coast city.

Neither the parked vehicle nor the house were occupied at the time.

RNC say the driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted and taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The vehicle was seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
