BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - A married couple in Berkeley County is behind bars for the alleged trafficking and sexual abuse of a young girl.

The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division says Filipe-Novais De-Oliverira, 39 and Lais-Olivetti Silva, 38, both of Hanahan, were both arrested after the Hanahan Police Department requested state agents investigate.

De-Oliverira is charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor aged 11 to 14 and one count of trafficking someone under 18. Silva is charged with one count each of criminal sexual conduct with a minor between 11 and 14 years old and trafficking someone under 18.
