SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame women’s basketball team finds itself among the top 25 teams in the country after the Associated Press released its preseason Top 25 poll on Tuesday afternoon.

The Fighting Irish are ranked No. 15 in the preseason poll, which is five spots lower than where they finished at the end of last season .

Notre Dame is coming off a 28-6 season that included a Sweet 16 appearance, but the team has had to replace a lot of star power after losing several big names to the WNBA and the transfer portal.

While the Irish still have last year’s leading scorer in Hannah Hidalgo, there are a lot of questions about the new group of transfers on this year’s roster.
