SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - A total of 16 measles cases have been reported in the Upstate since July, including five additional cases announced Tuesday.
The new cases are the result of people who were exposed at one of two Spartanburg County schools and have been quarantining at home, according to the South Carolina Department of Public Health.
There are now 139 students from Global Academy and Fairforest Elementary School who are quarantining at home following investigations into potential exposures. This total is down from 153.
