PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Michigan mother says her 3-year-old son saved her life after she suffered a seizure and collapsed when they were home alone.

For Shantell Woods, who was recently diagnosed with epilepsy, seizures are a part of life. While cooking at home Thursday afternoon, she got dizzy and sat on her coach. She then had a seizure and fell unconscious with no one around expect her 3-year-old son, Cody.

“I want to cry right now. He’s just my hero,” Woods said. “He’s just a smart kid. I’m proud.”

While his mother was unconscious, Cody grabbed her phone and held it up close to her face to unlock it. He then called Kaya, a family friend and neighbor, using FaceTime.

“I realized something wasn’t right, so something told me to just hurry, jump up and come across the parking lot,” K
