The Ohio Attorney General's Office's Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has issued its report on the officer-involved shooting that left one man dead in 2024.

The report indicates that the actions of the police officer who shot and killed Shane Linderman, 50, during an incident in September of 2024 were justified, and that the office would be closing the matter.

Additionally, the Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office will not be presenting the case to the Mahoning County Grand Jury for consideration, according to a letter from Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro addressed to Youngstown Police Chief Carl Davis.
