ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Rogers Police Department has arrested a man accused of breaking into a fire truck on Monday night.
RPD said in a news release that around 5 p.m., officers responded to a suspicious event call at a restaurant on West Walnut Street. The caller told police that a man was attempting to enter a firetruck on the west side of the restaurant's parking lot.
The man, identified as Jonathan French, 34, was stopped by firefighters from driving or damaging the truck.
Officers at the scene determined that French was under the influence of "some sort of narcotic," according to the release.
French was arrested without incident and taken to the Benton County Detention Center. He is facing public intoxication and breaking or entering charges. No bond has been set.
