OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — On Wednesday, Medicare Open Enrollment will be available for Oklahomans, but did you know there's a free program that can help you ask questions about coverage options?

Medicare open enrollment starts Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7.

"Do they want to look at a different plan that's out there? Is their current plan giving them the coverage that they want or need, and to possibly make a change?" said Ray Walker, the Divisional Director for the Medicare Assistance Program at the Oklahoma Insurance Department.

Those are questions that may arise this time of year when the Medicare enrollment period opens for Oklahomans. For help applying, the Oklahoma Insurance Department has a Medicare Assistance Program that's available for free.
