Virginia State Police is investigating a four vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon that has caused multiple injuries. The crash occurred on Interstate 64 westbound at Interstate 564 in Norfolk, according to a press release from state police.
The preliminary investigation from police has found that a Ford F-150 rearended a Hyundai Sonata. Then, the Sonata struck a Virginia Department of Transportation attenuator, which is a safety device on highways made to protect drivers in case of a crash. After that, the Sonata was struck by a dump truck on the driver’s side. The Sonata then spun into a Toyota Camry.
