A man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in a west Las Vegas alley early this morning, according to Metro Police.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive man in an alley in the 5300 block of West Cheyenne Avenue at approximately 3:49 a.m.

When patrol officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives who responded to investigate learned that two men had been in an argument before a gunshot was heard. The victim was found unresponsive shortly afterward.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
