LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Metro police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured in the northeast Las Vegas valley.

Around 8:25 p.m., police responded to the area of North Gateway Road near North Lamb Boulevard and East Carey Avenue after receiving a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital, and the extent of his injuries is unknown.

The shooting suspect left the scene before officer arrived.

The shooting appeared to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public, Metro police said.
