FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A firefighter was injured and taken to a nearby hospital as Franklin fire crews continue to work to put out an apartment fire.

Crews are still working on putting out the fire at an apartment complex on the 100 block of Gillespie Drive. The fire began on the exterior of the building and traveled inside to the attic, which does not have sprinklers, causing the fire to spread, according to officials.
