NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Franklin firefighter who was injured while fighting an apartment fire Tuesday has been released from the hospital, according to the Franklin Fire Department.

The firefighter was fighting a three-story apartment fire at the IMT Cool Springs apartment complex when he fell through a second-floor balcony to a porch.

FFD said the firefighter fractured his fibula in the fall.
