HOOVER, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Hoover Police Department is looking to hire men and women to patrol and help keep the city safe.

The city of Hoover said they have open positions they are looking to fill as they search all over the country for qualified officers to keep the community safe.

“We’re looking for the best people across the country,” said Lt. Daniel Lowe.

The city recently headed across state lines to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, looking for officers.

“Some people that are leaving the military, we find that the transition from military life to law enforcement is a really natural one. And also college graduates going straight into the force. We have a great mix of both of those,” Lowe said.
