BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: We continue to see some major temperature swings each day. From the crisp low 50s to the middle 80s in the afternoon. Because it’s so dry, the daily temperatures are rising and falling by over 25 degrees.

We will see another big drop into the low to mid 50s tonight, with highs back in the middle 80s for our Wednesday afternoon.

A north breeze returns Wednesday, with low relative humidity. So, please continue to avoid burning in these dangerously dry conditions.

THE NEXT BIG THING: The forecast guidance is now locking in on the timing for a rainmaker this weekend. A line of rain and storms is expected to enter the state late Saturday night and push east throughout the morning on Sunday.
