Hulu has churned out some quality original series over the years, from the steamy drama “Tell Me Lies” to the political thriller “Paradise” to the mystery comedy “Only Murders in the Building.” But what will happen to the shows when the Hulu app shuts down?

That’s right, the s tandalone Hulu app will be phased out in 2026 as the streaming platform merges with Disney+. No Hulu originals will be harmed in the process. They’ll be available on the unified Disney+ and Hulu app, and it will still be possible to purchase a standalone Hulu subscription or a standalone Disney+ subscription.
