SHREVEPORT, La. -- State Sen. Alan Seabaugh would like to become the next District Attorney of Caddo Parish. He officially made his announcement today at a Shreveport landmark, Superior Grill.
Seabaugh says this will be a long campaign; the election is not until November 2026. Even if he was to lose this race, Seabaugh would still be a state senator.
In a fiery announcement speech, Seabaugh outlined his reasons for seeking the district attorney’s position.
“I do not accept violent crime being committed by people who should still be in jail for prior offenses,” said Seabaugh. “I do not accept mama’s putting their babies to sleep at night to the sound of gunshots. And I don’t accept that we can’t do better. I do not accept people saying they have to get out of certain parts of my hometown
