MISSOULA - The Missoula Police Department reports the woman whose body was found in an irrigation ditch on Sept. 3 died from an accidental drowning.

The Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death of 38-year-old Leah C. Hartley was "Asphyxia due to Drowning," MPD stated in a news release.

The family has been notified of these findings.
