BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Right now, many jobs in North Dakota are in high demand, and health care experts are encouraging young people to consider working in medicine.
On Tuesday, hundreds of students were invited to Bismarck for Sanford Health's Future in Focus Health Careers Conference. More than 20 different health care workers spent time with students, offering hands-on activities showing what they do.
That included a robotic child patient who can talk and respond with symptoms, as well as virtual reality and laparoscopic surgery demonstrations.
Teachers say many students are simply not aware of the many rewarding career options in health care.
