CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI - Three people were hospitalized late Tuesday afternoon after allegedly being stabbed by a family member in a suburban Detroit neighborhood.

First responders were called at around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, to a residence in the 3700 block of Parklawn Drive in Canton Township where they found the individuals with unspecified stabbing injuries, according to a post on the township’s police department’s Facebook page.

The suspect was reported to be a family member, though police have not released other identifying details.

Police said the individual was quickly arrested and remained in custody pending further investigation.

As of 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, the extent of the victims’ injuries remained unknown, and further information was not available.
