ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Abilene Zoo is celebrating a new arrival, a baby steenbok born on October 6.

Named Amani, which means “peace” in Swahili, the little antelope is already full of energy. Zookeepers say she loves to follow her care team around and show off her playful hops.

Amani was born to parents Kira and Kidogo, with her mom delivering her in just five minutes.
