GLOBE, AZ (AZFamily) — The U.S. 60 is back open to all drivers after suffering significant damage due to recent storms in the Globe area.

It was shut down on and off since Saturday until it reopened around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, with one lane having traffic alternating a few miles west of Miami.

The Arizona Department of Transportation urges drivers to slow down in that area and follow instructions to use that one lane in one direction at a time.

The U.S. 60 will remain that way until repairs in that area are completed but it’s unclear how long that will take.

Video sent to Arizona’s Family shows destroyed guardrails, cracked pavement and more of the freeway in Gila County. Flooding was a problem for drovers traveling in the area.
