A well-balanced performance from its top four golfers helped Saint John’s High School capture the Central Mass. Division I Golf Championship by a full 10 strokes on Tuesday at Kettle Brook Golf Club in Paxton.

The Pioneers amassed a total score of 8-over 296, 10 shots better than runner-up Shrewsbury High School (306). Westborough was third (308), followed by King Phillip (309) and Westford Academy (311).

All four of Saint John’s scorers finished in the top 10 of the individual portion of the sectional tournament. Cael Duggan led the way with an even-par 72, good enough for a share of third place overall. Lukas Schleyer tied for fifth place with a round of 2-over 74, while Adam Trani and Wyatt Rue both shot 75 to tie for ninth place.
