ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa (KCAU) — Arnolds Park Amusement Park has closed for the season, but this one was one for the record books.

Arnolds Park Amusement Park is empty now. The rides have shut down. The famous Nutty Bar stand is closed. But that wasn't the case this summer when the park experienced one of its best seasons ever.

"Our attendance this summer was incredible, especially the weekends. And we had over 300,000 visitors throughout the summer, and usually what that means is that they also come back maybe two, three times on top of that," said Chris Swanson with Arnolds Park Amusement Park. "So, we had unique visits of over 700,000 for the summer."
