Strikes and engineering works to significantly disrupt rail travel in Bristol View 3 Images
Passengers on rail services out of Bristol Temple Meads station will be hit with a double-whammy of strikes and engineering work this weekend and into next week, as work to replace tracks takes place on the same weekend as rail staff go on strike.
This weekend, there will effectively be no rail services at all south of Bristol from Temple Meads - with trains to Bedminster , Parson Street, into North Somerset and to Weston-super-Mare replaced by buses, because Network Rail are completing ‘essential engineering work’ on the Great Western Mainline on Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19.
At the same time, members of staff in the RMT union who work for the rail service CrossCountry are going
