SEATTLE — Say bonsoir to the Kraken's newest two-way forward, Frederick, "Freddy" Gaudreau.

The 32-year-old centerman is known to be a penalty killer, but can also silence a team with his sniping ability.

"I pride myself on being a versatile player and my definition of that is kind of being there for whatever the team needs," Gaudreau said. "Some days it's some things, other days it's something else."

New head coach Lane Lambert is excited to see where they can slot him in the lineup and knows how potent he can be on special teams.

"We got him for a reason," Lambert said. "He's a good, solid two-way player and penalty killer, but he also has offensive abilities, and you can see him when he's coming through the neutral zone with the puck that he has some deception to his game."
