SEATTLE — At a Seattle Kraken game, the excitement starts long before the puck hits the ice. When the lights dim and the screens come alive, fans know it’s time: the show is about to begin.

At the season opener, fans were treated to this year’s brand-new opening sequence, a visually stunning and immersive experience that’s been in the works for months.

“We start typically as the season comes to an end, evaluating what went well, what didn’t, what needs to get better,” said the Kraken Director of Live Production and Broadcast Eric Vaughn.

This season, the team took a different approach. After several years of staying close to the same “tales from the deep” narrative, the Kraken’s creative team decided it was time to evolve the story into current times.
