Recently, the Community Crisis Coalition of Chaves County was notified of a local veteran who needed a cleanup of materials on his sidewalk after recent work on his property. Due to health issues, the veteran homeowner was unable to take care of the debris.

With the help of Roswell City Councilor Juliana Halvorson, Church on the Move, local volunteers and the City of Roswell Waste Management the coalition was able to remove 40,000 pounds of debris from the veteran's property within a few hours

"This is what the Community Crisis Coalition of Chaves County is working to do in Chaves County," said Tracy De La Rosa, coalition chair. "We are here to organize the resources that we have available and to help put those together with the people that are in need."
