India’s smartphone exports continued their strong run in September 2025, touching an estimated $1.8 billion with over 95% of year-on-year growth, according to the India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA).

Typically considered a slow month for the mobile industry due to production and shipment cycles, September’s performance signals the resilience and maturity of India’s mobile manufacturing ecosystem.

Between April and September 2025, India’s mobile phone exports reached $13.5 billion, compared to $8.5 billion during the same period last year — a growth of over 60%.
