As the air quality in Delhi NCR begins to dip ahead of Diwali, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Tuesday, Oct 14, imposed the GRAP 1 restrictions in Delhi NCR with immediate effect.
The CAQM decided to impose the first Stage-I of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) as Delhi's air quality dipped into "poor" category.
Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was noted at 211 on Tuesday, which is classified as "poor" category, with the CAQM expecting the conditions to remain similar for the coming few days.
The decision to impose the GRAP curbs was taken in the meeting held by Sub-Committee on GRAP on Oct 14.
