Rachel Reeves has admitted that she is looking at potential tax rises and spending cuts in the Budget to fill a huge black hole of up to £30 billion. The Chancellor said it is being taken into account as she prepares for the statement next month. ‌

It marks the first time that she has acknowledged that tax hikes are being considered for the upcoming November 26 event. She told Sky News: "Of course, we're looking at tax and spending as well. ‌
