BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Bryan County Commission is dealing with two big issues with major impacts to the community.

Both taxes and animal safety were big topics at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Bryan County Commission Chairman Carter Infinger says there’s an important tax break coming to county residents as leaders look to lower the millage rate in favor of a new Floating Local Option Sales Tax, or FLOST.

Chairman Infinger says, “we want to save the taxpayers as much as we can. Especially our permanent residents and our seniors.”

Infinger says tax revenue will come from renters or people passing by who purchase gas, food, or other public goods.
