Today, October 15, at 8:00 a.m. ET, United Airlines will debut Starlink Wi-Fi on its Boeing aircraft, starting with a mainline flight 2940 from Newark/New York to Houston. This marks the first time a major U.S. airline has introduced Starlink connectivity on a mainline flight, offering access to high-speed internet across both personal devices and in-flight entertainment screens.

United Airlines first announced plans to equip its regional aircraft with Starlink Wi-Fi in March 2025, with more than 40 additional aircraft scheduled to join the service each month. Since the rollout began in May, over half of United's regional fleet has already been outfitted with the Starlink satellite internet system.
