Storms this afternoon and evening could be strong to severe.

Winds, even outside storms, are gusty.

Cooler into the weekend.

WEDNESDAY: Increasing cloud cover this afternoon and growing storm chances. Some could be strong with damaging winds and hail, brief heavy rain is possible too. Winds outside of storms are strong as well, already gusting up to 50 mph. Much better storm chances with an approaching cold front this evening, when severe weather chances will increase. The best potential for severe storms remains over the mountains though. Warm temperatures today, highs in the upper 70s and 80s.

THURSDAY: Still breezy, and with winds coming from the west, we’ll see lots of sunshine and still pretty warm temperatures, despite a cooler airmass behind the cold front. Highs in the 70s.
