HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - The current government shutdown marked the country’s 11th since 1976.
The personal finance website WalletHub.com sought to compare how the states have been faring.
On Wednesday, it released its report on the “States Most & Least Affected by the 2025 Government Shutdown.”
WalletHub said compared the 50 states and District of Columbia in terms of five metrics, which included each state’s share of federal jobs, federal contract dollars per capita, and the share of families receiving food stamps.
