WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) - Police in Wethersfield said they’re searching for a suspect in a carjacking that happened in a supermarket parking lot.

Police said they were called to the Stop & Shop on the Berlin Turnpike around 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday.

They said a man who stood about 5′10″ tall wearing a beige hoodie and camouflage pants “forcibly removed” a female victim from the driver’s seat of her gray Buick Lacrosse.

The registration plate for the vehicle read “BN00701.″

“The suspect was seen traveling east on Jordan Lane and then north towards Maple Avenue in Hartford,” Wethersfield police said in their report. “There were no weapons used or implied during this incident.”

There were no visible injuries on the victim, but she was evaluated by medical personnel at the scene.
