A man who assaulted three people and attacked police officers at a party celebrating his release from prison has been jailed for more than five years. Shane Doyle had only recently been released from custody when he attended a gathering at a house in Lunedale Road, Dartford, on February 8.

The evening turned violent when 44-year-old Doyle assaulted two women and a man and later kicked and spat at officers responding to the incident.

Kent Police was called to the property at around 8.30pm, where they found one of the female victims at the bottom of the stairs. She had been grabbed by the throat, pushed down the stairs, kicked, and punched during the attack. Doyle also shouted at officers, while spitting and kicking during his arrest and transport to custody.
