WASHINGTON PARISH, La. — The 113th year of the Washington Parish Free Fair is officially underway Wednesday, and this year, .

WWL Louisiana Anchor and Reporter Mike McDaniel grew up enjoying the fair’s traditions and says leading the parade is a full-circle moment.

“To say it’s an honor is an understatement. I’m a hometown guy, I love my folks, and it’s as simple as that. Let’s roll Franklinton,” McDaniel said.
